 Scope of this Position

  • Must have experience as GM at hotels generating volumes of at least $10 MM.
  • Assure hotel expands it market leadership standing.
  • Take a key role in the hotel industry within the city.
  • Position will be responsible for supervising/managing/overseeing the following departments: All Operations of a full service Hotel with very upscale service and quality standards
  • In preparing for this position, candidate ideally will have worked in at least the following departments or positions: Rooms & F&B, ideally with some sales experience.
  • Requires a minimum of 7 year(s) of supervisory experience.
  • Requires a minimum of 10 year(s) of experience.
  • This position reports to: Regional Vice President
  • Must have experience at properties of similar size and quality.
  • Position will be required to work a varied schedule that may include evenings, nights, and week-ends.

 Job Requirements

  • Must be a citizen of this country or possess a valid work permit.
  • Candidates must have current 4-diamond equivalent experience.
  • Experience with full service Marriott Hotels, Embassy Suites, Renaissance, or Hilton Hotels with extensive meeting facilities preferred.
Technical Requirements:
  • Consistently exceed revenue and guest expectations.
Leadership Requirements:
  • Provide leadership to position the property to achieve the mission.
  • Communicate the goals and objectives and inspire employees to achieve those goals.
Managerial Requirements:
  • Track record promoting an atmosphere of teamwork.
  • Build morale and spirit.
  • A mentor who has inspired, trained, and developed people for promotion.
  • Instill a guest service attitude in all employees.
Business Skills:
  • Provide overall direction, coordination, and ongoing evaluation of operations.
  • Creative problem solving skills.
  • Think creatively.
  • Forecasting skills.
  • Understand basic asset management.
  • Involved with local community to develop business.
Educational Requirements:
  • High School degree or equivalent.
  • Specific degree in: BA/BS a plus

 Compensation

Salary$100,000 - $130,000
Bonuspayable annually
